Swim England and AP Race commit to new strategic partnership
18 Jul 2025
The partnership sets out a shared commitment to work together on a number of key areas outlined in Swim England’s strategy ‘One Swim England’ – and the vison “Great experiences in water. For all. For Life”.
The focus will be on a range of projects that will continue to strengthen and modernise the swimming landscape in England. These include enhanced support and promotion of coaching, as well as comprehensive education and guidance for athletes, coaches, parents, and club officials.
Both organisations will also seek opportunities to collaborate through events and national campaigns, explore opportunities around helping more children to learn to swim and the modernisation of competitive swimming.
Swim England Chief Executive Andy Salmon said: “We are delighted to be working with AP Race to help improve the future of competitive swimming in England.
“This partnership demonstrates our shared ambition to modernise the sport, support our coaching workforce, and ensure athletes and clubs have the tools they need to thrive. Collaboration is key to progress, and we’re excited about what we can achieve together.”
Ed Baxter, AP Race Chief Executive, added: “This partnership with Swim England is a proud moment for AP Race. Our mission has always been to inspire and elevate the sport of swimming, and this partnership allows us to do that on a broader scale.
“By aligning our efforts, we can create more opportunities for athletes, coaches and the wider swimming community, and help shape a brighter future for the sport we love.”
Swim England is proud to be teaming up with leading swimming club administration platforms – including Swim Club Manager and Swim Manager – to deliver a faster, more efficient way for clubs, coaches, and event organisers to access official swimming times.
