
NORTH WEST MICROLEAGUE

Northwest Micro League is a three Division league aimed at giving young swimmers aged 9-12 their first taste of competitive swimming action in a friendly team-based setting. Clitheroe Dolphins are currently in Division C and are aiming to return to the B division when racing restarts in 2022.
Each team race in 4 galas and every team hosts at one gala at their home pool, this year Dolphins will swim in the following galas:
14th May @ Palatine, Blackpool against Lytham St-Annes, Kirkham, Preston B
21st May @ Salt Ayre, Lancaster against Lancaster, Kirkham, Garstang
26th June @ Clitheroe against Lytham St-Annes, Kirkham, Garstang
2nd July @ West View, Preston against Lytham St-Annes, Lancaster, Preston B
The winners and promoted teams are decided by who has accumulated the most points across all events. The team to represent Dolphins is selected by the head coach prior to each event and consists of 4 to 5 boys and 4 to 5 girls in each of the following age bandings:
Aged 9 and under (at the date of the National final in Nov) - all raced over 25m
Aged 10 (at the date of the National final in Nov) - Butterfly is raced over 25m and all other events raced over 50m
Aged 11 (at the date of the National final in Nov) - all raced over 50m
Aged 12 (at the date of the National final in Nov) - all raced over 50m
